UPC 20th Anniversary Party

On March 4, UNIVA Paycast (UPC) celebrated the 20th anniversary of its founding with a party at the Hotel Gajoen Tokyo. For the first time in a long time, all of the company’s employees were able to gather in person, protected by a complete suite of anti-pandemic measures. The theme was “UPC up until now. UPC from now on.” This was an event whose goals included building solidarity, as well as confirming the company’s future direction. Twenty years ago, UPC started out as a credit card settlements company. Through the efforts and cooperation of each and every employee and UPC’s partner companies, the company now provides a diverse array of settlement solutions. President Nakao announced a new goal, an IPO three years from now. Not confining its offerings to UPC’s strength in settlements, the company will also be developing a growing range of non-settlement services.

Besides enabling purchase and payment for Naturally Plus products, the new app is multilingual and supports member activities. The app is scheduled for completion and release by the end of May. This round of development has emphasized usability and enlisted the cooperation of UNIVA CAPITAL Group companies and other experts. NPVN Achievers Cruise

From March 14 to 16, thirty-one goal-achieving Naturally Plus Vietnam (NPVN) members enjoyed a two-night, three-day cruise on World Heritage Site Ha Long Bay. Because of the COVID pandemic, this was the first tour in sixteen months. With this tour as a new beginning, both company and member hopes for overseas tours have risen. The number of participants in this domestic incentive tour was relatively small, but everyone had a fabulous time. Reports indicate that those connected with NPVN who followed the participants photos and videos via SNS are excited about participating in future tours. Hopes are high for growing numbers of NPVN members to achieve campaign goals.

Uni Marche Spring Campaign

Running from March 1 to April 30, the Uni Marche spring campaign features a limited-time offer of seaberry juice. Seaberries, which contain more than two hundred nutrients, have been called a miracle fruit. But of all the seaberry juices, GUAMARAL seaberry juice is made 100% from seaberries grown in Mongolia’s harsh climate, harvested and hand-squeezed at the peak of perfection. It contains no preservatives. Those who purchase the juice during the campaign period will also receive a bonus, a bag of organic steamed soybeans. We hope that all of our NAKAMA make seaberry juice part of their health and beauty regimen.

UNPTW Participates Philanthropy Event

UNIVA Naturally Plus Taiwan (UNPTW) has again participated in the annual “Send Love to the Margins” event organized by the Children Are Us foundation, which supports independent living for children with physical or mental disabilities. UNPTW members purchase cakes made by the children, and donate them to other children who for economic reasons rarely enjoy an opportunity to eat cake. UNPTW began collecting cakes on February 22. The goal was 2500 cakes. The coronavirus pandemic make it difficult for members to personally deliver the cakes, but they were able to imagine the smiles on the children’s faces when the cakes were delivered on Mother’s Day.

Power Harassment Now Illegal in Japan

On April 1, amendments to Japanese employment law requiring small and medium-sized companies to stop power harassment went into effect. The new regulations define power harassment as (1) words or actions that assume superiority, (2) words or actions that exceed proper workplace boundaries, and (3) create a harmful workplace environment for employees. Harassment infringes human rights, damages the reputation or fails to show the respect due to the other, and worsens the workplace environment. In Japan a harassment help desk is available to everyone who is employed by or does business with the UNIVA CAPITAL Group. Consultation is provided for all forms of harassment and is not confined to power harassment or sexual harassment. Whatever your issue, please contact:
