The UNIVA AWARDS is the most prestigious award to recognize the best employees and their achievements within the Group, and is a forum for Group knowledge sharing. We invite you to apply in the form of a self-nomination to boast about your own accomplishments over the last year. Ten selected Shining Stars will be invited to a 4-day/3-night Bali incentive trip! UNIVA AWARDS 2023 Overview:

• Eligibility: All employees of the UNIVA Group

• Period covered: January 1, 2023 - December 31, 2023

• Application format: self-recommendation

• Shining Star: 10 persons/teams

• Award: Awarded at the UNIVA Group General Meeting of Employees

• Winners: 3 persons/teams (prize money equivalent to US$1,000)

• How to apply: Fill out the entry form and submit it to the UNIVA AWARDS Committee at your company.

• Application period: January 5-February 8

• 1st round screening: at each company, by February 29

• Second round: Scored by group directors, March 6 - March 20

• Third round: Shining Stars are born at the final judging committee meeting in March, and announced in the April issue of UNI-SIGHT.

• FINAL CONTEST: April 26 (held online)

• Incentive trip: May 28-May 31 to Bali!

• *In case of a team, one representative will be invited.

On November 15-16, 2023, UNIVA Japan (UJP) participated in the 16th Kawasaki International Environmental Technology Exhibition held at Carutz Kawasaki, where it exhibited its energy-saving control system, ESCO-ONE. Many domestic and foreign companies stopped by our booth during the event. We were reminded of the great need for "ESCO-ONE" in achieving both a global decarbonized society and sustainable economic growth. In addition, many foreign business owners came to this year's event. The two foreign female staff members, fluent in Chinese and English, provided a stepping stone to developing overseas sales channels and forming new contacts.

UNIVA America, Inc. (UAI) has signed a new contract with WAKOEN Corporation, the largest tea manufacturer in Kagoshima Prefecture, to serve as a sales rep responsible for sales promotion activities for its tea products in the United States. When WAKOEN exhibited its high quality organic matcha and other products at an exhibition, visitors were astonished, saying, "I've never tasted such delicious matcha!" UAI will aggressively market the product to cafes, retail stores, and restaurants throughout the United States.

Ten new international wallets have been added to Alipay+, the global cross-border electronic payments and merchant marketing solution offered by UNIVA Paycast's (UPC) UnivaPay payments platform. This means that "Alipay+" can now accept payments from Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, Mongolia, South Korea, Singapore, Thailand, the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Italy. With this release, Alipay+ will provide more inbound tourists and cross-border EC users with a pleasant consumer experience.

On November 12, 2023, a joint team of UNIVA Paycast (UPC) and UNIVA Gyro-n (Gyro-n) participated in the Kanto ITS futsal tournament. The team was formed for the competition, so even though many of the members had never met each other before, they showed great teamwork in the show. Many NAKAMA came to cheer the participating members to see their heroic deeds, and the games were very exciting. Unfortunately, we were not able to achieve victory, but the team worked together as a team and created a bond that transcended the company.
