The movement towards decarbonization is accelerating around the world. Japan aims to reduce emissions by 46% (compared to fiscal 2013 levels) by fiscal 2030, and to achieve a decarbonized society by 2050. UNIVA Energy and UNIVA Japan's Ambitions for 2025<\/h3>\r\n \r\n \r\n

From a conversation with the mayor of Horokanai, a town in Hokkaido that experiences heavy snowfall, in the summer of 2023, \r\n we started the vertical double-sided solar power plant after hearing that \"in areas with heavy snowfall, it is not possible to build solar power stations, and it is not easy for a town to promote the use of renewable energy.\"
\r\n A year and a half has passed since then, and thanks to the successful results in Horokanai Town, three vertical double-sided solar panels have been built in Sapporo, Hakodate, and Niseko Town in Hokkaido, and the system is steadily spreading.\r\n <\/p>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/a>\r\n <\/div>\r\n \r\n \r\n <\/div>\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n

UE Germany's vertical solar module inspection<\/h3>\r\n

UNIVA Energy (UE) visited Germany and inspected a pasture that has adopted agricultural solar power generation and Frankfurt Airport. Both sites have power generation facilities with an output of approximately 4 MW installed on vast pasture land of approximately 9 hectares. Data has also shown that the introduction of vertical solar panels on pastures has resulted in better growth of pastures than in areas where they are not installed. The facility installed at Frankfurt Airport is located along the runway that runs north and south at the airport, stretching for a total length of approximately 3 km, and is expected to generate electricity of around 17 MW once completed. UE hopes to continue working to promote the use of renewable energy in pastures, rangelands, farmland and airports in Japan.<\/p>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/a>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n \r\n \r\n <\/div>\r\n \r\n

From January 22nd to 23rd, UNIVA Gyro-n (UG) exhibited at Food Style Kansai 2025. Food Style Kansai is the largest business exhibition in Japan for expanding sales channels into the restaurant, ready-meal and retail industries in the Kansai region. This time, all members of the UG Sales Division promoted \"Kikikomi\" to the Kansai food and beverage industry.
