Old Man’s Ramblings
@univa_murakami
Twelve and a half years have passed since I joined the UNIVA CAPITAL Group.
I have fond memories of being amazed by the Izumi Garden Tower’s elevators.

It is interesting how differently countries have managed the coronavirus wave. But all are moving toward a “new normal.”
@univa_murakami
Remote work has become routine. But how will it be redefined? If companies and employees and colleagues among themselves can trust one another, the freedom to choose how we work will increase. Laws that protect workers from companies can become a barrier to increasing freedom in how we work.
@univa_murakami
Observing the UNIVA AWARDS and the General Meeting of Group Employees, I am truly impressed by the effort put in by so many of our employees. It is probably good that they find more appealing places to work in their everyday lives.
@univa_murakami
It is my impression that the UNIVA AWARDS finalists’ presentations have improved year after year. Online presentations may be less tense and easier to present. It may be time to have events in the form of new business proposals, in addition to the UNIVA AWARDS.

The celebrities who appear on TV in Japan have all become “nice people.” One factor may be stronger compliance, but this could be what people are now demanding.
@univa_murakami
I have enjoyed watching how Chairman Inaba has changed from his former suit-and-necktie look in Koh-EN TV videos.
@univa_murakami
It is a real pleasure to see employees grow and expand the scope of their work. I want them to take full advantage of working for their companies and for the UNIVA CAPITAL Group.
#This does NOT mean company would reimburse you for personal expenditures.
@univa_murakami
Working for an organization means making effective use of its assets (people, things, money, information) to extend the reach of the individual’s ability. The environment must make it possible to leverage these assets to the full. How far that leverage can be effective depends on mutual trust, not on seniority or rank.
@univa_murakami
When it comes to leverage, the physical world is impartial. The principle of the lever says that for a small force to produce a large force, a long lever is required. When workplaces are scattered entropy increases. That is unavoidable.
@univa_murakami
“People-focused management” is one of our Group’s management core values. We aim to minimize risk for individuals who take on bigger challenges. It would be a waste not to take advantage of this policy.
#UNIVA CAPITAL Group cherishes its people #Sometimes too kind
@univa_murakami
We thought earlier of offering training in how to achieve high scores in personnel evaluations. That might be a way take full advantage of what the UNIVA CAPITAL Group offers.
@univa_murakami
UNIVA CAPITAL Group commonplaces.
Directors take on too many other jobs.
There are so many posts to be filled. We need more people with the self-confidence to raise their hands.
When asked to write a message, I thought an old man’s ramblings would better. I talked it over with the editor-in-chief, who thought the idea was interesting. This twitter-style ramble was the result.
