Univa Paycast (UPC), in cooperation with TIS Corporation, has begun offering in-person UnionPay QR payments to select merchants. In the future, member stores will be able to make payments more convenient for Chinese visitors to Japan. At this time, we have not implemented this in our own system, but we plan to add it in the future. UPC will continue to work with its partners to provide a wider range of payment services to merchants.

UNIVA America, Inc. (UAI) conducted market research in the U.S. as part of its support for SAN-EI. Co. Ltd, a trading company specializing in lifestyle products, to enter the U.S. market. For the B-to-B kitchenware product line, we set up meetings with distributors to explore the potential of each product in the U.S. market. In addition, we visited the Japan Food Expo organized by Kyodo Trading, a major Japanese distributor, and conducted research by interviewing related parties and end users. On October 14, Naturally Plus Japan (NPJP) held its largest annual event, FESTA 2023, at Yokohama Arena for the first time in four years, with 8,327 participants from 11 countries. Moderator Shiho Hashimoto's husband, Taka Gadarukanaru, appeared as a secret guest and wowed the audience with his "Tajimaya Business Briefing FESTA Special". The excitement of the audience reached a climax when Japanese pop singer Hiromi Go appeared on stage. There was also a major announcement that "Super Lutein" had obtained a functional label! Besides praising the achievers on the highest stage, the 7-hour FESTA ended with a great success.
