UOH US$ 1 million capital investment in OBOOK

UNIVA Oak Holdings (UOH) has made a capital investment of US$1 million in OBOOK HOLDINGS INC. (hereinafter "OBOOK"), the holding company of OwlTing Group (hereinafter "OwlTing"), which provides international payment services and comprehensive accommodation services using Web 3.0 blockchain technology. In addition, as part of their support for the growth of OwlTing's business, UOH and UNIVA Paycast have signed a memorandum of understanding with OwlPay Japan Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "OwlPay Japan"), OwlTing's Japanese subsidiary, to cooperate in promoting the development of Owlpay and global digital payment solutions in Japan. Owlpay is a Web3 payment tool optimized for payments, and based on this foundation, OwlPay Japan plans to develop international remittance and payment services using fiat currencies, stable coins, etc. to meet the needs of businesses and individuals in Japan. UOH has decided to take a capital stake in OBOOK in order to support the growth of OwlTing, which has plans for such promising business development.

UPC Year-End Party

UNIVA Paycast (UPC) held the "2024 Year-End Party" to close out the year. The digital human being jointly developed with Wise Planning Co., Ltd., with which the company has signed an MOU, was unveiled, and at the UPC quiz competition, employees were seen having fun communicating with each other across departments, positions and nationalities. The events were held on different days in Tokyo and Osaka, but Chairman Inaba participated on both days and looked back on 2024 and shared his thoughts for 2025. Sterling Securities begins preparations for "UNIVA FUND"

Sterling Securities Co., Ltd., a consolidated subsidiary of UNIVA Oak Holdings (UOH), has begun preparations to establish the "UNIVA FUND" as a support fund for domestic listed companies and companies preparing to go public. UNIVA FUND aims to have assets under management (AUM) of 2 billion yen in its first year, with plans to establish a fund with AUM of 15 billion yen over three years, and is scheduled to begin accepting applications in February 2025.

UPC Koko Furu introduced in Mogami Town, Yamagata Prefecture

UNIVA Paycast (UPC) has launched its local consumption-based hometown tax donation service, "Koko Furu," at three businesses in Mogami Town, Yamagata Prefecture (Mogami Town Akakura Onsen Ski Resort, Hado Onsen Mogami Yutaka, and Wakuwaku Farm Maemori Kogen). Koko Furu will work alongside local governments and will continue to think up and create new experiential return gifts and services even after the project is launched. We will continue to work with local governments to revitalize the region by increasing the number of people connected to the area and taxpayers.

UNPTW launches "Daystar"

UNP Taiwan (UNPTW) has launched a new skincare series called "Daystar". The concept of Daystar is to rediscover the potential of skin rejuvenation by using techniques that utilize the microbiome to regenerate the skin condition. The main ingredient is the "German Patented Skin Microbiome Recipe," which is the result of research by CLR Berlin, a German research company with 100 years of experience. UJP joined JPEA and focused on promoting vertical solar power generation

UNIVA Japan (UJP) joined the Japan Photovoltaic Energy Association (JPEA) in January 2025. With the aim of popularizing and expanding vertical solar power generation, six members of the association - Suichoku Solar Co., Ltd., Shizen Energy Inc., Hokkaido Shizen Energy Inc., Nippon Leetec Co., Ltd., Air Water Inc., and UJP - have established the Vertical Solar Power Generation Promotion Task Force (hereinafter referred to as TF). TF will tackle the following themes:

  • Promoting safety assurance for vertically installed solar power generation
  • Promoting domestic dissemination activities
  • Utilization and dissemination of research data
  • Organizing and publicizing the benefits of the system

To advance these activities, we will hold monthly meetings to share knowledge and resolve issues across the industry.

UMG Company name changed to Univa Energy Limited

Univa Magnum (UMG), a company engaged in renewable energy businesses such as the development, manufacturing, and sales of next-generation storage batteries, changed its name to Univa Energy Limited (UE) on January 1st. Last December, UE reached a basic agreement with Next2Sun AG, a German pioneer in vertical solar power generation, and its Japanese subsidiary Suichoku Solar Co., Ltd. to cooperate in promoting the spread of vertical solar power generation systems suitable for construction on agricultural land in Hokkaido. The three companies aim to construct and commence operations of a 100-megawatt vertical solar power generation system for agricultural use in Hokkaido by 2026.

UAI's Oshiro holds Christmas event, bringing smiles to children's faces

Naomi Oshiro of UNIVA America, Inc. has been volunteering as an event director and ambassador for the NPO Dare2B since 2018, supporting children living in homeless shelters in New York. Christmas is especially a special event for children. Oshiro held a charity yoga class to raise funds. With the donations she raised, she planned and held a Christmas event for children. A volunteer Santa Claus also made an appearance on the day, much to the delight of the children. More than 100 children living at the shelter received presents from Santa Claus, making it a special day. Dare2B is always looking for donations.
