UJP Workation Contributes to Local Community
In September of last year, UNIVA Japan (UJP) signed a comprehensive tie-up agreement with Horokanai, a town in Hokkaido. Subsequently, there were three workations (working vacations) between November and the end of January. Horokanai is said to be the coldest place in Japan. Besides participating in snow removal and making soba noodles, UJP participants met with local government employees to exchange ideas about local revitalization. UJP not only is publicizing the appeal of Horokanai throughout Japan. Plans call for an office to be set up to use its energy-saving expertise to contribute to Horokanai’s development. The workation tours were featured in the January 12 edition of the Hokkaido Shimbun newspaper.

First Offline Gathering Since Launch of UNIVA SNS
Since the introduction of the Group SNS Project in the January issue of UNI-SIGHT, the number of NAKAMA participating via Slack has increased. Our interactions have not been confined to SNS. Our first lunch together took place on February 16. Besides four project members, three other NAKAMA participated. In this relaxed atmosphere the lively conversation never stopped, and it wasn’t just a good time. UNIVA Marche operations formed personal ties with customers, and an informal market survey was conducted. Since opportunities to meet NAKAMA from outside our companies are rare, everyone got a real taste of the pleasure and value of intersections with others who do not work for the same business.
