UNIVA Energy and UNIVA Japan's Ambitions for 2025
From a conversation with the mayor of Horokanai, a town in Hokkaido that experiences heavy snowfall, in the summer of 2023,
we started the vertical double-sided solar power plant after hearing that "in areas with heavy snowfall, it is not possible to build solar power stations, and it is not easy for a town to promote the use of renewable energy."
A year and a half has passed since then, and thanks to the successful results in Horokanai Town, three vertical double-sided solar panels have been built in Sapporo, Hakodate, and Niseko Town in Hokkaido, and the system is steadily spreading.
